This week we’re going to focus on the Jammers manager, Mike Boyles. Mike has been the manager of the Jammers since 2008 and has been a part of 4 championship runs with the Jammers. He made one of the biggest moves in MWL history by landing Thomas Martin right before the trade deadline in 2014. Since that move, the Jammers have won three consecutive championships, with other huge pick ups since TMart.
In 2015, the Jammers acquired Joe Clavette, and have become the most dominant team to play in Mequon Wiffleball League history. In 2016 the Jammers scored a league high 99 runs and allowed the least amount of runs (27) over the course of their quick 7 game season. That’s an average score of 14-4. In 2016, there was only one game in which the Jammers did not 10-run rule their opponent. Now this isn’t because of Mike’s management skills, but there is something to putting together a team that can perform at these levels year in and year out. Teams managed by Mike have not lost since before the 2014 playoffs. According to him, he doesn’t plan on losing any time soon and is sending the warning out to each and every team in 2017 that he is more than confident the Jammers are going to open up a can of whoop ass and serve it to each and every one of you.
